Good friends are hard to find ...

Good friends

When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.

You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

We can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're insane-If they only knew!

I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.

Rachel Ellis

“A true friend” quotes:

@The two most misused words in the entire English vocabulary are love and friendship. A true friend would die for you, so when you start trying to count them on one hand, you don't need any fingers. Larry Flynt

@If you have one true friend you have more than your share. Thomas Fuller

@A true friend is someone who is there for you when he'd rather be anywhere else. Len Wein

@A true friend encourages us, comforts us, supports us like a big easy chair, offering us a safe refuge from the world. H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

@You want a friend who's going to tell you the truth. That's what it's about. If you don't have a friend who's going to tell you the truth every time something comes up, you feel like he's not a true friend. Donald Driver

@I don't know if I've ever been in a clique. The older I've gotten, the more I've realized what a true friend really is. So my friendship circle has changed a bit. Aimee Teegarden

@A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked. Bernard Meltzer

@I have a family, loving aunts, and a good home. No, on the surface I seem to have everything except my one true friend. All I think about when I'm with friends is having a good time. I can't bring myself to talk about anything but ordinary everyday things. We don't seem to be able to get any closer, and that's the problem. Anne Frank

@It's OK to argue with your friends. Guys can do it better than girls, usually, but if you ever get into a fight with a true friend or a spouse or a boyfriend, get it out, fight, be angry for five minutes, and then move past it. Don't let it fester; don't hold a grudge. If you do, that's when it will get worse and worse. Ike Barinholtz

@A true friend is one who overlooks your failures and tolerates your success! Doug Larson

@A true friend freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably. William Penn

@Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is. Jim Morrison

@A true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire. Francois de La Rochefoucauld
